Honestly the best combo I've put together is an MG4 upper on an ADM4/UIC lower. No modification required and the ambi bolt catch/release on the ADM is far superior to the LMT (or Radian, LWRC, PWS, etc.), plus you get a few minor enhancements in the lower itself.
