New to the forums and just picked up my new XD Mod 2 bi-tone 9mm on Friday and didn't even realize until i got it home that the notorious "gripzone" wasn't actually on it. I started second guessing myself thinking i had inadvertently ordered a XDS Mod 2 but I hadn't.It took too much effort to shoot the gun accurately. The grip was TOO thin, but also rather boxy (because of the edges of the grip). I always thought the original Shield was too thin too, but at least the grip was comfortable (S&W later making the Shield Plus solved that).
