They can get gummed up with powder residue or be too weak to drop the hammer hard enough. 20,000 rounds would be less than one year of shooting for many shooters and certainly wouldn't wear out firing pins on most guns.I shot 2 different TT-15's at a trap range once. The first one didn't fire from the bottom barrel and the top one only had a 50/50 chance of firing. I returned it to the rangemaster and tried the same model again, and it had problems too.
