There is still the 200 m draw distance, so I don't know how much difference it makes in the end. Note quite sure what all the talk about draw distance is about. Since I got some shots at 250-300 meters.Whitetail on layton can spawn at just about any source of water on the map. Your best bet would be to check up and down all of the rivers for their drink zones and then setup tents and hunting stands at the zones you want to grind.
